Simulated Space Mission

Sixth graders had the opportunity to visit the Emera Astronomy Center and Challenger Learning Center with their science class. I was able to tag along as a chaperone, and it was exciting to step back and allow them to engage in their simulation of being on a space mission. They were required to solve problems, communicate effectively, make good decisions and work together as a team to achieve success. Together, they discovered comet "Veazie" and we all returned back to Earth safely.
