Free tries many times to get the MakeyMakey staircase piano to work.

One of our middle school groups created a new MakeyMakey Challenge for themselves: turn our staircase into a piano. It took several tries, but by the end of the class, Free, Christian and Izzy had successfully created our very first Veazie Musical Stairs!

MakeyMakey can be used in so many ways:

• interactive posters where students can share their information with the press of a button
• animation combined with coding on Scratch
• interactive plant and animal cells
• teaching about circuits and conductors and insulators (....why can't I play the piano with my sneakers on?) 

The real potential with a technology tool like MakeyMakey is ... what can our students create with it?
